Trains run so slow at 5 in the morning. So after a late night of celebrating some classmates birthdays, I was unable to wait any longer for the R train without passing out. I walked the twenty some blocks from the 36th St. stop to my apartment, and on the way I found a little hidden gem. They were stairs leading underground, closed off by a single not-so-effective cone. In my stumbling and curious state, I had to check it out. I guess it used to be a subway entrance, but not sure. There was a lot of graffiti, lights were on, but I didn’t dwell too far in because I didn’t want to go to the adult version of the principal’s office. Clearly, it was somewhere I was not supposed to be.

Drunk driving on a Wednesday!

Snowed in at home in good ‘ol Newport News, so I’m going to organize this up a little bit. I’ll be making pages for select writings and interviews and stuff that I’ve done and for future pieces as well.

First up, is my interview with Brooklyn artist, Nick Kuszyk, that I did back in May, 2010. I interviewed him on the stairwell piece that he did in the Temple building of VCU.

Click the photo below or just see the link to the left over there. Enjoy. Snow and beers tonight with the fellas.
